About Me
Hi, I’m Rachael—a mom, storyteller, and photographer based in Northern California. Inspired by California light and my grandmother’s analog photo archives, my style is a blend of warmth, nostalgia, and authenticity.
As a mom of four, I also understand how intimidating professional photos can be. That’s why I love helping clients feel confident and supported. From styling and posing to choosing the right locations, I make sure your session feels natural and relaxed.
I combine my heart for storytelling with an eye for detail to create images that become a lasting part of your family or brand’s story.

FAQ
How do I book a session?
Booking your session is quick and easy. Pick a package or mini session that best fits your needs, and click “book now.”
You’ll be taken to my booking calendar, where you can select a date and fill out a quick inquiry form. Once confirmed, you’ll review our policies and sign your contract. You’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details!
What should I wear?
I’ve created a free style guide which is automatically sent to you when you book your session! You can also download it here to get color tips, coordination ideas, and session-ready outfit advice straight to your inbox.
Maternity clients also receive The Maternity Style Companion, designed to help mothers-to-be choose stylish, comfortable pieces for their session.
When will I receive my photos?
Final edited galleries are delivered within 1–2 weeks of your session. If you need your images sooner, you can add the Express Editing option for 48-hour delivery — you’ll see this available as an add-on during booking!
What’s the difference between a full and a mini session?
A mini is a 20-minute shoot at a predetermined time and location, including 10 fully edited images. These are offered seasonally for quick, high-quality portraits.
A full session is 45 minutes and lets you choose your own time and location. It includes more images and provides extra time for outfits, poses, and expressions for a complete portrait experience.
What if I need to cancel?
Life happens! If you can’t make your session, just let me know at least 7 days in advance so we can offer your spot to someone on the waiting list. Your deposit is non refundable, but it can be applied to another session with me within 6 months of your original date.
As a courtesy, you’re welcome to reschedule once! If a second change is needed, a new deposit will be required for the next session.
(Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your session, or no-shows, unfortunately, cannot be rescheduled.)
What if we’re awkward in front of the camera?
Don’t worry, most people feel this way! I guide you into poses and use prompts to create natural motion and genuine interaction, so your photos feel relaxed and authentic. Part of my job is to direct you into poses that are universally flattering and capture the best of you on camera!
Can you shoot at any location?
Yes! I offer in-home and outdoor sessions for families, as well as on-location options for brands and businesses. Travel within 20 miles of Vacaville is complimentary; for locations beyond that, a travel fee will be applied. All fees are confirmed before your session.
