Hi, I’m glad you’re here!
I’m Rachael–a mother, storyteller, and published photographer with 15 years behind the lens. I am a family photographer capturing maternity, newborn, and baby milestones in Vacaville and the beautiful surrounding areas.
I believe childhood is a magical time full of wonder, connection, and little moments that deserve to be remembered. As a mother, I know how much love goes into creating a beautiful childhood for your children, and I believe your photographs should reflect that.
With gentle direction and a child-led approach, I create relaxed, meaningful sessions where you can slow down, enjoy your family, and let me capture the magic you’re creating together.

FAQ
How do I book a session?
Booking your session is quick and easy. Pick a signature family, newborn, milestone or maternity session that best fits your needs, and click “book now.”
You’ll be taken to my booking calendar, where you can inquire, select a date and answer a few questions. (I answer inquiries with 24 hours!) Once confirmed, you’ll review our policies and sign your contract. You’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details and style guidance for your session.
What should I wear?
After you book you’ll receive a style guide to help you coordinate colors and wardrobe!
When will I receive my photos?
Final edited galleries are delivered within 1–2 weeks of your session. If you need your images sooner, you can add the Express Editing option for 48-hour delivery — you’ll see this available as an add-on during booking!
What if I need to cancel?
Your session date is reserved exclusively for your family. If circumstances require a change, please provide at least 7 days’ notice so I can accommodate another family waiting for an opening. Retainers are non-refundable but may be applied toward a future session scheduled within 6 months of your original session date.
As a courtesy, you’re welcome to reschedule once! If a second change is needed, a new deposit will be required for the next session.
(Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your session, or no-shows, cannot be rescheduled.)
What if we’re awkward in front of the camera?
This is one of the most common concerns families share before their session. The good news? You don’t need to know how to pose—that’s my job. With an experienced eye for light, angles, and natural connection, I’ll guide you into positions and movements that photograph beautifully while creating space for genuine moments to unfold. You can relax knowing you’ll be supported every step of the way and never left wondering what to do.
How do we choose a location? I’m not familiar with many photo spots in the area.
After booking you’ll receive my Location Guide with a curated a selection of my favorite family-friendly locations throughout Vacaville, Davis, Dixon and Winters. They’re chosen for beautiful light, natural scenery, and a relaxed experience for families with little ones!
