About Me
I’m Rachael—a mother, storyteller, and photographer dedicated to preserving the beauty of family life. Serving Northern California families, I create thoughtfully crafted portraits that capture the connection, emotion, and simple moments that become the memories you treasure most.
After years of documenting life through my blog, I found that the images I cherished most were the photographs from the early years of family life. Those images are more than memories—they became a way for my children to understand their story, their roots, and the love that shaped them. Thats why I’m passionate about creating that same sense of legacy and belonging for the families I photograph.

How do I book a session?
Booking your session is quick and easy. Pick a package or mini session that best fits your needs, and click “book now.”
You’ll be taken to my booking calendar, where you can inquire, select a date and answer a few questions. Once confirmed, you’ll review our policies and sign your contract. You’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details and style guidance for your session.
What should I wear?
A thoughtful wardrobe helps you get the most out of your photos! When you book with me, I’ll send you style and color guidance as well as mood boards for helpful planning visuals. I’ll use flattering light, posing, and natural movement to do the rest!
When will I receive my photos?
Final edited galleries are delivered within 1–2 weeks of your session. If you need your images sooner, you can add the Express Editing option for 48-hour delivery — you’ll see this available as an add-on during booking!
What’s the difference between a full and a mini session?
A mini is a shorter session at a predetermined time and location. These are offered seasonally for quick, high-quality portraits.
A full session allows us to collaborate on the time and location that fits you best. It includes more images and provides extra time for outfits, poses, and expressions for a complete portrait experience.
What if I need to cancel?
Life happens! If you can’t make your session, just let me know at least 7 days in advance so we can offer your spot to someone on the waiting list. Your deposit is non refundable, but it can be applied to another session with me within 6 months of your original date.
As a courtesy, you’re welcome to reschedule once! If a second change is needed, a new deposit will be required for the next session.
(Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your session, or no-shows, cannot be rescheduled.)
What if we’re awkward in front of the camera?
Don’t worry, most people feel this way! I guide you into poses and use prompts to create natural motion and genuine interaction, so your photos feel relaxed and authentic. Part of my job is to direct you into poses that are universally flattering and capture the best of you on camera!
Can you shoot at any location?
I offer in-home and outdoor sessions for families, When you book, you’ll get my Location Menu where you can choose from a list of my favorite hand-picked family-friendly locations.
Travel within 20 miles of Vacaville is complimentary; for locations beyond that, a travel fee is applied based on distance. (All fees are confirmed before your session!)

Choosing what to wear should feel effortless. After booking, I’ll provide a style guide with my favorite recommendations for coordinating outfits, selecting flattering colors, and creating a look that reflects your family. Signature session clients also receive a complimentary 15-minute styling consultation so we can plan the details together.
